February 1, 2019 - 4:00pm to 5:30pm

Event Summary

This is the first event of our Spring Term event series ‘Passages. Translation and the Mediation of Time and Space’.

Pittsburgh author and translator William Guy offers a brief review of some of the previous attempts to solve this problem, followed by a discussion of his translation and poetic practice, in particular on his effort to capture the rhythmic component of the poem.
