Dr. Ellen Lee joined the Classics Department at the University of Pittsburgh in Fall 2019. Her teaching and research focus on gender & sexuality in Latin literature and its receptions, as well as cognitive approaches to the ancient world. Her pedagogical interests include developing digital pedagogies for language learning, which she has pursued via her open access textbook supplement to Wheelock’s Latin, and bridging the gap between ancient and modern in the Classics classroom.
