Alex-Jaden Peart wins Lionel Pearson Fellowship from the Society for Classical Studies

Congratulations to Pitt Classics major, Alex-Jaden Peart, on winning the Lionel Pearson Fellowship, one of the most distinguished awards for undergraduates in the field of Classics!

The Lionel Pearson Fellowship, awarded to one North American undergraduate each year, funds a year of graduate studies at an English or Scottish university. The Pearson Fellowship is a richly deserved accolade for Alex-Jaden, alongside his other laurels, such as the Phyllis B. Katz Prize for Excellence in Undergraduate Research and the Frank M. Snowden Jr. Undergraduate Scholarship, both national awards in the field of Classics. As he begins his graduate studies, investigating the ancient body through the perspectives of ancient medicine, literature, and philosophy, we cannot wait to see what is next for Alex-Jaden! Euge!
